After countless hours spent using different blow dryers, I discovered that no machine will dry your hair faster or make it look better than the Rusk W8less.
Because it provides a great experience for the money, I think it is the best hair dryer for long, thick hair.
What Makes it The Best Hair Dryer For Long Thick Hair?
When it comes to drying your hair efficiently, the only two features that you should pay attention to are heat and speed.
The Rusk W8less features a 50 mph and 150 °F airflow. This makes it one of the hottest and fastest tools you can buy. Most other dryers blew air at about 40 mph and blowing air is around 120 °F.
Other features that make it my top pick are:
- high capacity motor of 2000 watts
- weighs less than a pound
- has an 8-foot cord
- very comfortable to hold in your hand
- comes with a concentrator
- infused with ceramic and tourmaline
- removable filter
Overall, it has all the features that I consider important. This is true even when you compare it with models that cost hundreds of dollars.
The dryer emits far infrared heat that penetrates the hair cuticle to dry long hair from the inside out, meaning less damage is done to the hair structure.
The tool also emits millions of negative ions thanks to tourmaline technology. The ions break down the water molecules so your hair dries faster and is exposed to heat for less time. This innovative technology helps prevent static and frizz.
Again, it weighs less than a pound. This means a lot. Testings have found that a weight difference as small as 2/10 of a pound makes a huge difference in terms of how a dryer feels overhead.
The buttons are all placed just how they are supposed to. They are easy to push, but at the same time hard to press unintentionally.
There are tree buttons: one for cold air, one for hot, cool, or warm air, and one for high, off, or low intensity.
Different heat settings make it super easy to blow dry your hair at the temperature that’s suitable for you. Use high heat if your long, thick hair is healthy and undamaged. Or use low setting if you have brittle hair.
I find it really helpful that the the cool-shot button is wide (unlike on other blow dryers), so holding it down isn’t difficult.
The housing is also great: glossy white with understated logo. The handle is somewhat curved, and fits comfortably in the hand for a firm grip.
The sound of the air is really smooth. It’s impossible to find a dyer that is silent, but having one that doesn’t overwhelm you with noise is fantastic.
The only flaw that I can think of (but it’s not deal-breaker) is that the Rusk W8less doesn’t come with a diffuser. You’ll have to buy one separately if you don’t already have one.
I highly recommend this dryer to anyone who has a hard-to-dry hair. This incredibly lightweight model is an amazing choice for women with long, thick hair that takes ages to dry because you’ll barely feel it in your hand.
Is it really that fast and powerful?
It only takes me 8 to10 minutes to blow dry my long, thick hair. In the past it was 20–25 minutes with other models.
This makes me so excited. If you do not understand the pain and uncomfortableness of holding your blow dryer over your head while using a brush for almost half an hour, you cannot understand my happiness.
So, if you are looking for a good and reasonably priced hair dryer, you should definitely give this machine a chance. It is both for amateurs and for professionals.
